We still have debt and parasites sucking at the club’s teat. It will be more of the same.

We’ve agreed to spend a £#%&! of a lot of money over the course of several 4 year contracts.. daresay a large chunk of what we have ‘spent’ has yet to leave our bank accounts, which greatly reduces future spending..

Money is rolling in yearly. CL money too now.

We really gonna play this pauper game? It's not 2006 anymore.

You think United will just sit back and watch the likes of Liverpool blow £140m on van Dijk and Naby Keita?

Not sure what relevance who and how much Liverpool sign or spend has when talking about the financial constraints United face, you giddy kipper

Of course it's relevant. We are capable of doing twice as much as them,

I'd be fuming if we paid £75m for Van Dijk. There's absolutely no way it can be justified. Even in this market.

Mou wants two players in by all accounts. I'm afraid after this deal, no way Alex Sandro goes for anything under £60m......
You wouldn't really though.

Its all about getting your man these days and that's that.

Struggling to see any positive in this where we concerned, he'll improve them greatly.

Of course I would. We obviously have different ideas of how good he is.

Turns 27 before next season, he isnt some prospect.

It's so weird paying so much for him.

They know they'll get it all back and much more for Coutinho, and they've already signed Keita...

They haven’t chucked near £200m at Lukaku and Pogba in the last 2 summers, plus whatever else we’re still paying for. It’s not a bottomless pit and we’re not great at recouping monies in the market. I am not even a bit surprised they £#%&!ed him off on Perisic and want him to sell before anyone else arrives...

The point is that Coutinho - even if he's been relatively half-arsed for them since the summer - will be at least as big a loss for Liverpool as van Dijk is a gain.

Which of course is why people claiming "this shows other clubs CAN compete with city" are missing the point.

Didn’t Juve spend literally all the Pogba money on Higuain?

Not sure they really needed a scout to identify Dybala, Pogba or Morata surely?

United badly need someone with good contacts and his ear to the ground though. Hopefully he will make a difference.

Fair play to them for getting him signed on 1st Jan. Usually clubs fanny around until the end of the month hoping to save a couple of quid.
