Default Spanish inquiry!

Emergency meeting of the Spanish FA last night debating whether to sack Lopetegui on the eve of the world cup, after it was announced he was going to Real Madrid after the tournament.

He's doing a press conference shortly amid rumours he may be announcing his resignation.

Scenes.

Surely Real Madrid could’ve waited until after the world cup to announce the appointment.

Yep, classless announcing you've signed a manager who still has to lead his nation through a world cup.

A bit different when you're going to a club from the country you are managing that provides a decent proportion of the players in the squad

Could easily be seen as a conflict of interest especially if he drops any Barca or Atleti players to play a Madrid player

Didn't Bobby Bobson announce he was going to PSV before the 1990 world cup?

Didn't see that coming.

I wonder if this is the appointment that would make Bale stay at Madrid?

Doubt it...on!

Im hearing Fernando Hierro is to take over.
