Mad how much more comfortable on the ball so many of them looked.

Even Mr Safe Matic was playing some incisive balls too.
It’s good that we have the opportunity to play ourselves back into a little confidence against teams that will give you that much space. That being said, space is what space is, you have to create it and you do that with they type of ball movement and running we saw today. Play this game two weeks ago and Cardiff would have looked like they had 12 players we were so £#%&!ing slow under Mourinho.

Exactly.

In one sense, the opposition were irrelevant. How WE approached the game was entirely different.

Let's not forget, most of this league is pretty shit. If we play in that way, with that intent, we will win a lot.

Play Jose's way, with the confidence and freedom he gives them and we don't.

It wasn't perfect, but it didn't need to be. Dominated the ball, created plenty of chances, had four or five forward in every attack.

It ain't complicated.

It takes the pressure off the defence too. We were under very little pressure all game because we were the ones doing the attacking.

Didnt Ole say to the players: “don’t let the other team work harder than you “ if that doesn’t echo Fergie I don’t know what does. Would’ve loved to be a fly on the wall for that little conversation round at Fergie’s gaff.

Matic doesn't ALWAYS play incisive balls. No sane person can think that's correct.

And I just complimented him, you belm.

The little ball he played between two players to Herrera, before Herrera played it to Lingard for the penalty would have gone backwards or sideways normally.

Right. I think, if we’ve learned anything from the last few years, it’s that there’s really no safety in caution.

it's still not a thread about matic. in every game he plays incisive balls. he keeps possession too (more than anyone else) and is well able to hold players off. you insulted him with your praise. watch him more carefully in future or I will reluctantly have to give you bad rep. blind spot.

He’s been getting hammered a bit too much recently, I agree. The man’s played an awful lot of football over the last year and a half, and he’s not 22 anymore. Fit and healthy, he’s still the most solid defence minded player we have.

You're wrong.

You also think Antonio Valencia is a midfielder.

Go away.
