Talking John Aldridge - A different kind of moron

Reading the paper this morning, he says the following.

- Gerrard was just pumped up and only stamped on Herrera because he was frustrated at how bad Liverpool were without him

- Herrera's tackle on Gerrard was extremely dangerous and Gerrard was 100% right to give him "some back"

- United are the new Chelsea, in that they are a well oiled machine who play anti football and that it was sad to see that kind of football win against Liverpool's proper football

Amazing

He writes for the Sunday World. You can literally smell the seething and injustice and phlegm emanating from its pages every week

I was going to tweet him some abuse but it seems he's blocked me too

Aldridge is a nasty piece of work. Really does like to dish it out but can't take it back; a real bully.

He's utterly deluded and talks like the very worst type of demented liverpool fan, it's why no serious broadcasters or media outlet will have him anywhere near them. Talks utter %@#$&!s.

A few Everton fans got him going on twitter last year and he was threatening to send his mates round to their house. Absolute coward of a man.

Disappointed nobody has mentioned his treatment of Brian Laws yet.

One of the reasons I love Tony Adams.

While the goal in the replayed FA Cup semi-final remains the highlight of his Liverpool career, it was overshadowed by a typical Aldridge controversy when, after an own goal by Brian Laws for Nottingham Forest, he ruffled the hapless defender's hair. It was a moment of tasteless triumphalism and fellow professionals queued up for vengeance.

Stuart Pearce "wanted to chin" Aldridge and, when Arsenal beat Liverpool to steal the championship, Tony Adams ran over at the final whistle and, after a little ruffle, said "that's for Brian Laws."
Despicable man.

John Aldridge: If Steven Gerrard was clever he would have got Ander Herrera sent off

John Aldridge has explained that if the Liverpool captain had used his head he would have realised he had the opportunity to get the United man in trouble instead of the other way around.

Writing for The Liverpool Echo: Aldridge said: "I actually thought Steven could have been a little cuter in that incident".

"Ander Herrera had flown into a tackle and not got near the ball. I think Stevie could have left his leg there, taken a little hit and maybe got the United man sent off himself".

"Stevie will have watched that first half, and watched Mata and Herrera strolling round, and thought ‘I’m not having that’.

"His first tackle on Mata was a beauty, and was more than Liverpool had managed in 45 minutes beforehand. But he made a mistake thereafter, and paid the price".
