bit harsh. he's not great, but improving. His analysis of Falcao recently, for example, was quite good. where most were lamenting the service, shearer correctly point that falcao's movement (or lack of) was the problem.

There are much worse pundits than him.

generally the standard of punditry and analysis is dreadful. It doesn't help that Most footballers are fundamentally stupid.
