Angry As Ferguson has categorically ruled out a Heinze move to the vermin

What will the next subject be that the chancers on this forum seize upon to call Ferguson all the names that their own relatives whispered in their ears while they were £#%&!ing them up the arse?

Yeah whatever. If you (not necessarily you personally) choose to use hyped up improbabilities based on footballer's whims, media shite and agent speak in order to attack a person, yet make no effort to redress the balance when bullshit scenario fails to materialise, then you are the one who ought to wake up and realise that no-one gives a £#%&! about your anti-Ferguson (in this particular case) agenda.

Precisely. Well done. Said agenda being of zero significance being the point, obviously. Course, the forum £#%&!ers constantly calling Ferguson a @#%&! at every opportunity really really upsets me.

Throb's just stirring, Fergie said Beckham wasn't leaving, he said Veron wasn't, he said he wouldn't sell RVN for £10M, now he says he won't sell Gabby to the scousers and everyone's saying what a top bloke and man of honour he is. If it becomes in Fergie's interest to do a deal with Liverpool, he will. He has shown his principles can be bought. Throb, well done you've started a pointless argument, again. If you don't like your fellow fans, go and support Chelsea.

Sorry but I refuse to believe that you have that many posts and have not seen the plethora of evidence that has been banded round all united forums about this for the past couple of years

I'm no apologist but it would help to quote decent exaamples to back your position up.

In Fergies interest? or the clubs?

You see, all of the above deals were absolutely right for the club.

Hope that clears that up.

BRL - I'll also take you up on this one. Are you suggesting that Fergie saying that fan ownership was a good thing followed by his tactic support of the Glazer's was a u-turn?

He may have responded to questions about Beckham stemming from media reports around the time of the CLq/f 2003 with a curt "£#%&! off you pointless @#%&!s". I hope he did.

Don't ever recall anyone saying Veron bids would not be accepted, certainly not once it had been decided to move a year earkly for Ronaldo.

United actually did hold out quite well over the RvN fee, but it was clear they were fighting a losing battle as the player was acting like a @#%&!. Based on the forum favourite method of calculation - guesswork - he went for £12.3m.

I would say that in the event of an offer of £6.8m from anyone for Heinze it would be in Ferguson's interests to snap their hand off.

I like plenty of my fellow United fans ta, including many of those who I sit around, though some of them should make more effort.

£#%&! off and support Chelsea is one of my favourite ever Ferguson quotes. As it happens, it is also the basis for one of the best football songs you're likely to hear as well.

"...the plethora of evidence banded around forums..." is not really evidence - I presume you refer to the comment laughing off the delusions of grandeur certain people demonstrated following the superb work in helping secure the blocking of the Murdoch bid. If not, then I genuinely have missed another Ferguson pearler by the sounds of it

People keep quoting Fergie's principles as if they know what they are/were. Perhaps fan ownership was not a principle of his but merely something he would like to have seen happen if it could? It couldn't and I personally don't think he could have influenced making it happen as much as people make out.

Consequently, I don't really have a problem with Fergie on this one.

One of my many gripes is his verbal backing of IMUSA and then his sniping at the fans wanting a voice after the Glazer takeover. Now that is either a U turn or him saying what is best for him in his job rather than what is best for the club or the team.
Still i should not be surprised, this is a bloke who when GIFTED half the winnings of a horse then sued for his half of the stud rights yet he claims to be a socialist. A man who stands up for the working man unless that working man works for MUFC and is binned off as soon as the Glazers take over as they want to streamline the operations. A man who brands the fans of a breakaway club "attention seekers" whilst promoting his new book.

That's what i thought; it's his mocking of those who "actually thought they could have a say in the running of United after getting the Murdoch bid blocked" that has upset you. (That is not a direct quote, but looks like it doesn't need to be!)

Why do people get all mardy when they are ridiculed publically by way of retaliation?

I myself am ridiculed regularly

Where I come from it's often referred to as banter, and banter is often the most powerful form of knocking people off their high horses. I think Ferguson used the tactic pretty spectacularly in the scenario in question.

Correct me if I'm wrong btw, but wasn't it an official United publication, and not a Ferguson book at all that he was being quizzed about?
