Love TV me.
the 'Valencia - Rooney' combination would have delivered a League title & maybe another CL Final if Rooney hadn't gone over on his ankle in Munich.
They were brilliant together that season.

Yup - people forget what a good combo they were, Tony V powered his way through and put low balls in for Rooney who was fantastic at finishing them.

One of those special combinations - brilliant to see.

My faulty memory - I just have the image of Rooney tapping in goals from 8-10 yards out after a square ball from TV.

fwiw united imo would certainly have won the league in 2010 if we hadn't lost at home to chelsea

that was lunchtime saturday iirc off the back of the last ditch defeat in munich in midweek

regardless whether rooney played or not, mike dean was the referee and drogba's decisive 2nd chelsea goal was clearly 2 yards offside.

remember that we took bolton apart 4-0 without rooney before the bayern 1st leg, and a few games after the 2nd leg we took spurs apart without him as well.

About 9 or 10 in a row or something stupid like that. Including the winner in the League Cup final

It's not as if corners in general have a high success rate, just get Tony V to @#%&! it at pace about a foot off the ground and aimed around the edge of the six yard box and mayhem could ensue

He's been a different player this season nqat but I struggle to forget the years of balls @#%&!ted across the floor aimlessly.

Love Tony, just wish he'd work on his crossing. He had it nailed in 10/11 but the've been a bit shit since.

Absolute £#%&!ing beast though. Mourinho tends to leave him last man back at corners because his pace and power is rarely matched

Its one thing to see him put a cross in the air with his right foot...another to see it with his left.. slowly but surely he will improve this year game by game

Fergal did himself no favours with his team selection, though. Not *quite* as cowardly as the one at ciddy two years later, but deeply conservative and unimaginative.

Can't ever remember him acting the @#%&! or not putting in a shift for the team.
Can I ask you a question? Why do you love classifying any criticism of a player you like as "hate"?

It only proved decisive after Macheda handled. The offside decision was much worse, but both should have been disallowed.
