Wellbeck's injured as far as I know. Would like to see Macheda have some more first team action, maybe give Berbatov the start and if all's well bring him off after 60. Owen needs some full 90 minutes in my dishonest opinion.

Righto, i'd go with the Berba plan then.

That'll be dependant on the extent of his injury too, any doubt and I'd keep him ready for Sunday and play Macheda.

--------------- PIG ---------------

Rafael --- Brown --- Evans --- Fabio

Valencia -- Scholes -- Fletcher -- Nani

------- Berbatov --- Owen --------

Nice mixture of youth & experience. I think we need to at least give Berbatov & Owen a chance to get to know what it's like playing together should anything happen to Rooney, and the youth can have the last 30mins in this one. Fletcher needs the game, he'll be the most important midfielder against Chelsea with their diamond.

Might as well give Nani more chances, Obertan can make do with 30mins as well. Or 45mins if Nani is £#%&!.

Twins bombing down the wings, should at least be exciting to watch.

He'll probably end up playing Owen up on his own with Nani, Obertan and co sort of randomly floating around him.

But I'd go with:

Kusczak

Neville
Wes
Evans
Evra

Valencia
Fletcher
Scholes
Obertan

Owen
Macheda
