Quintet miss training

The Reds were without five first team regulars during Monday's training session ahead of the Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.

Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov sat out preparations for Tuesday night's game at Old Trafford, while young striker Danny Welbeck was also missing.

On a more positive note, Darren Fletcher, Ji-sung Park and Darron Gibson all trained having missed the last few weeks through injury.

Training squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak; Neville, De Laet, Brown, J.Evans, Rafael, Fabio, O'Shea, Evra; Valencia, Fletcher, Anderson, Obertan, Tosic, Gibson, Nani, Park, Scholes, Carrick; Owen, Macheda.

Yeah. The more minutes the better for Obertan, 1st start at OT I would imagine.

I think we'll see a much weakened team against CSKA. We only need another point to qualify, if we don't get that tomorrow we will get it soon enough.

That should be good enough to do the job and will give valuable experience to some of the youngsters.

Edit - Is King registered? If not, chuck in Macheda.

Good, once she has had it he might get his head back on football. He has been terrible in our last couple of games, his head isn't on it.

He wasn't "terrible" on satdee, wasn't great or anything but he played well enough and scored a great goal. don't think it's anything to do with his head "not being on it", he's just coming back from injury, which he isn't the best at.

When considering Hargreaves' comeback, I always think about Alan Smith's return. Came back far too soon, was utter shite and disappeared for about 2-3 months to get himself right. Hargreaves has been out a lot longer, so I reckon it might be a while until we see him tbh.
