What was the reason why we suddenly seemed to go cold on Torres? I remember watching him closely during WC2006 with the expectation that he would soon be a United player. Did we think that he was too much of a gamble because of his injuries?

Torres is absolutely astonishing. As previous posters have said i wouldn't swap Rooney for anyone, but he's not the best in the world.

He didn't want to play for United.
