Would you swap Rooney for Torres?

Just watching MOTD and they asked who the best striker was out of Drogba, Rooney and Torres. I'm Rooney's biggest fan but I was surprised when SOP picked Rooney. So if you could swap, would you?

Maybe if the price was right. I'd get him to wash my car and I may even pimp him out round canal street. I'd make him live in a hutch in the garden like those weirdo's in America who keep getting arrested for having kids and treating them like dogs.

Although, if we were to buy one player right now, it would be Torres. Well, it would be Messi. But I think Torres would be stupendous with us, tbh.

not rooney. anyone else in our squad though id swap in the blink of an eye. torres is the best goalscorer in the world.

Torres is a great player but he seems to want to play at underachieving clubs where failures won't be blamed on him. Plus he can't tolerate a lot of football - the dippers had to mothball him just to get the best from him for the game with us - it won them the match but at what cost to the rest of their season.

Rooney is a monster - but I wish he was more prominent in the big matches.

If you discount the fact that he's vermin, then yes, obviously.

without for a moment suggesting torres is not a superb player - he clearly is, and is probably the best no 9 in the world at the moment - rooney's record as a goalscorer is not that much worse than torres', and rooney has a lot more to his game imo.

torres' goalscoring record at the dippers is superb, but it is a team built to serve him. his record for spain, for example, is worse than rooney's for england and i don't think anybody would suggest spain are a worse side.
