Reckon he's between 10-12th. Subjective to all though.

that's actually 11.
Bill foulkes, sammy mcilroy, Dennis Irwin, schmeichel, Rio, Coppell, Buchan, Edwin, Beckham all worth considering.

Yep.

As I said earlier, very difficult to say. Arguments can be made for a lot of players.

We should just be thankful that we've had so many wonderful players and the fact we could experience them. A privilege

it's a meaningless exercise as we have had many great players and few people have seen half of them, but the idea that sammy mcilroy ranks above rooney did raise a smile.

The first 70% of his time here was great. Had some shit recent seasons though obviously.

Great goal today.

Around the top 10 of the ferie era. Difficult to compare a lot of players.

Is Rooneh deserving of a place ahead of arguably the greatest keeper to play the game, for example.

Going back further, was Rooney better than someone such as Tommy Taylor? Doubt any on here are qualified to answer, unless we have some fossil hanging about online.

Well, yes, worth considering but not top 10. IMO of course. depends on what you base it on - appearances, trophies or just out and out ability etc - obviously Edwards sadly never got to play as much as he should but he's widely regarded as one of the finest by the likes of charlton and many who saw him play. I obviously didn't have that privelige.

Irwin for me is the closest of that lot to the top 10, and maybe Schmeichel the big blue nosed bastard

Good list but if you're going back as far as Edwards you'd have to include Tommy Taylor and Roger Byrne. Also hard to leave out Schmikes and maybe VDS. Where do you stop though?

Depends on the question...

He makes the "Manchester United's greatest ever players" list

But misses out on "Greatest players to play for Manchester United" one.

Depends if it's based on talent and ability or contribution.
