Default Dani Alves

He's leaving Barcelona at the end of the season after rejecting a contract offer by them, his agent also said that 2 clubs have made an offer for him as well.

Our Matthew had a tweet read out on MUTV after the Villa game. Must have been thrilled.

Aye, imagine the damage he could do to teams. Look how much Valencia sees of the ball ffs.

Mata linking up with him, little give and go's with Herrera. Still got a few years left in him easy and I think he would be a great addition to the squad. If we can sort Rafa's fitness out he'd be a great player for him to learn off in addition to the demoyesandphelanication everyone has been undergoing.

I don't understand the negativity on here by some about signing Alves.

He is still a quality player, has bags of experience, loves to get forward, comfortable in possession and is a free transfer.

Whats not to like ?

Been saying it's a no brainer since it was first suggested. Loved watching him for Sevilla everything went through him from right back.

When you think of the amount of experience we have lost in defensive areas too in the last 12 months too.

Would rather Alves coming in and get a proper look how Rafael reacts to coaching and hopefully put injuries behind him that than sign £#%&!ing Clyne. Valencia has the most appearances in the defensive positions this season too. Keep Tony as a squad player and let the Brazilians battle for right back.

Can't really get excited about signing 32 year old full backs, but not excited about the prospect of spending 20 odd million on a Clyne or Coleman either. Alves for a couple of seasons would be ok while we identify a good right back or Van Gaal sorts out Rafael.
