Official- FC Utd 2011-12 Thread

Good start to the season today.

2-0 away to Stafford Rangers, who were relegated from the Conference North last year. Goals from Wolfenden and Stott. Nowt like a 1st minute goal on the opening day of the season to get everyone gooning.

Pretty decent performance, could have been more really.

Lost McM@&%! to Halifax and Jerome to Chester for the $$ in the summer and Sam has moved on as we brought a new keeper in so a few new faces in. They all look pretty good, especially Jones and Stott at the back.

MOM- Carlos Roca

North Ferriby at home( Stalybridge ) on Wednesday.

Do people still go? Lost interest when United (Man) started doing well again.

Is Margy out of hospital now?

1st home game of the season tonight at stalyvegas.......Looking forward to it, not done any pre seasons this year and got my buzz back.

Still in ospickle but much better apparently, sat around discussing tactics whilst wearing a headset and writing on a pad. Well, maybe except the headset.

Souley-ey reckons it's the best squad the club have had. We could do with a backup keeper (except Deegs ), but still, we're a good bet for promotion imo.

Do they have a youth team set up ...or a kids set up ...Or something like that ? my mum said my little cousin is playing for them or training with them everday or goes to watch them, she was saying something about me paying for attention for her aswell ....or something like that at the time too

Great game last night won 6-3

Bit skint at the minute so couldn't afford a season ticket. Had a chat with the office and when I got to the ground there was a season ticket and direct debit form waiting for me. Paying £12 a month and they gave me the ST even though they can't take payment yet.

After a 2-0 win away at Stafford Rangers last Saturday FC followed up with a 6-3 win at home against probable promotion rivals North Ferriby on Wednesday night making it 6 out of 6 points so far this season.

This Saturday FC are at home to Chasetown the team they lost away to 2-0 in the promotion battle towards the end of last season. The game saw two of the main FC attacking players sent off which probably cost FC promotion as both players were suspended for the play off final which they lost 1-0 at Colwyn Bay.

Time for a little revenge.

Saturday 20th August, kick off 3.00 pm, Gigg Lane. Adults £8.00, concessions £5.00, under 18's £2.00, car park £3.00, programme £2.00, burgers from the van outside priceless.

4-0 win away at Buxton today.

Played pretty well but not as good as it sounds, Buxton were shit.

Nagging feeling in the back of my head that we miss Jerome too much.

Minor details are we are about 8th in the league. (9 points from 15)

Good news is we might have a good old fashioned boycott coming up.

Gutted tbh, it's only a couple of stops up the line from me and Earsy but principles are principles.
