Mourinho, like some Arsenal fans in recent times, was unhappy with the effort Ozil was putting in, and decided to give him both barrels.

Ozil claims Mourinho shouted things like “You think two beautiful passes are enough… You think you’re so good that fifty percent is enough.”

To build the drama, the Arsenal player writes: ‘He pauses. Stares at me with his dark brown eyes. I stare back. Like two boxers at the stare-down before the first round. He shows no emotion. Just waits for a response from me. How much I hate him right now. And I love Mourinho actually.’

As some Manchester United players can probably already back-up, such petulance wasn’t going to please Mourinho, who shouted back: “Oh, are you giving up now? You’re such a coward. What do you want? To creep under the beautiful, warm shower? Shampoo your hair? To be alone? Or do you want to prove to your fellow players, the fans out there, and me, what you can do.”

Ozil chose the shower.

Eventually the player realised Mourinho was right, and has admitted as much in his book, explaining it proved to be a valuable career lesson.

If anything, that is slightly unfair on the present West Brom manager. Which really does say it all

The football is agricultural at times but i'm fine with that because there is obviously a foundation being built and we're still grinding results out during the process.

My judgement is ropey though because I was a supporter of LvG until it dawned on me that the hugely complex philosophy that I couldn't fathom was in fact an old man floundering in a game that had left him behind.

Wow that's scarily accurate from that pic of him doing the rounds by PM.

Apparently, he was in Monte Carlo a couple of years back with his then boyfriend and he wandered by one of the Casinos. Turns out one of the dealers reached into his gob to roll the next set of dice. His gnashers were that bad the French-Moroccan fella thought they were dice

LvG was unlucky, but to an extent that was self-inflicted.

Heard that story myself....also Blackpool with FC in their early years, he was again walking past a lesser betting type establishment...asked to put his peggys out to stop the wheel of fortune...the big dock off reel slowing ticker had broke.
Won a lad from Wigan £200 with his prominent front nashers stopping the wheel.

yep, heard that one as well.

Throb's gob is a dentist's complete £#%&!ing nightmare but he's a gamblers dream. That lad from Wigan was made up apparently. It made page 7 in the Daily Sport at the time. Good on throb I say: mouth like the Serengeti during drought but made a lad 200 notes.

I didn't get to vote!!!

I'd swap Mourinho for Keano in the blink of an eye and I'd do it right now. We need the adrenaline shot for the rest of the season to hit top four.

Wasn't that Fergie before he hit the big time with Aberdeen? Terrified his St Mirren players, finished third bottom and got sacked, with the chairman's parting shot that Fergie had "no managerial ability". Keano's record ain't bad at all when compared like for like. And the two are certainly a great character match.
