They don't even realise how far their standards have fallen.

As someone else said a few weeks ago, Rodgers seems less bothered by losing games than any manager I can recall. His players were always brilliant, marvelous, outstanding, etc.

is there a set of fans more sentimental and mellon collie than the scousers?
as long as Brenton tells them they're wonderful, the club is the biggest in the world, that he wants to play the liverpool way etc. etc. they will always back him - they need to feel special and adored, like an insecure bird... he makes out as if he's the chosen one, the messiah and is honoured to have been chosen....

hodgson wasn't that £#%&!ing insipid and that didn't help his cause....

it's a £#%&!ing nut house, anfield.
