This is what £115m gets you, apparently

What is their problem with not putting in proper corners?! Just sitting with you neck stretched for 90 mins!

First look inside new stand at Liverpool. Nicely done, plenty of history inside, great view of pitch and city.

press sensibly only being let in the top tier

The posts in the corner are there to hold the Anfield Road roof up. They're changing that stand next summer to up the capacity to 60k, when they do the posts will be removed.

True but boring.

I know one of the main architects behind it.

I know some who have been working on this and behind the scenes is £#%&!ing miles away from being finished due to financial problems with a main contractor. Some of the corporate areas are being re-tendered ffs, it will be in the new year at the earliest when some of those are finished

Lad at work (none football fan) went last month for the opening...

Only went to support his mate and his new bird...

It was a Friday night and he wanted to be anywhere else than £#%&!ing anfield, his mate had a new bird though and thrust the tickets in him...,

they got everyone in to test the new stand and then dragged out the U18's or something, they wanted clapping into the pitch for an hour training session. The stand was conducted to make some noise etc but they were advised not to bounce too energetically...

This lad said an hour in and his mrs was texting him from the seat next to him "CALL THIS A FRIDAY NIGHT, out NOW"

He tried to make excuses to his friend who was beaming like a kid in a sweet shop....

They skirted out on a toilet break but were stopped from leaving....

"Can't go yet la, there's a mass evacuation planned in 20minutez"

They were ushered back to their seats and had to wait to be evacuated

Said fat arsed stewards were shouting at him to follow the emergency procedure and STICK TO THE RIGHT ON THE STAIRS

3 hours to watch the u18's train and get shouted at by stewards said he owes his mrs big time.

"Worst Friday night of my life"

I know it's not permanent but it's still daft. And it's the price that's ridiculous than anything, it's a whole lot of money for not a lot at all. Half the price of the new 62,000 seater in Brussels, or Atletico's redevelopment of the Olympic stadium in Madrid

I would imagine having the tickets thrust in him didn't set the evening up too well.
