Nah we'll finish top 4 easily. But seriously Louis, Evans and Young and 3 at the back? Seriously? Louis?

always an excuse.....

our striker is playing in midfield to shoe horn him into the team....not because we are short of midfielder....
we are only missing one defender through injury.
our wingers are playing as wing backs....? whose fault is that....our best rb and lb were both in the squad and fit for todays game?

he hasn't changed much. the general opinion is that we are a possession based team...our front 6 give the ball as much any in the league. passing the ball back to de tea a few times is not possession based. go and watch bayern or chelsea if you want to see possession based football.
if anything the one thing we are this season is less ambitious in terms of attacking. its almost...and i mean almost as if we don't see every game as 'must win'
I felt that after villa. 10 man villa and we are 'ok' with a draw there? A team that hasnt beaten us since 1995?

And today I see james wilson laughing and joking with our coaching staff at around 70 mins when we are supposed to be serious and chasing the game.

Worry for the winning mentality and winning culture fergie. Moyes may have destroyed it completely. People like rooney who used to run his heart out seem satisfied with draws against stoke these days. A place we won at every year under ferie when it was a much stronger stoke.

I'm a van gaal fan but the negative subs, 5-3-2 and the bizarre underusage of herrera is nagging away at me....

Thumbs down

He was like it at the world cup too.

Also, the sheer amount of muscle injuries now means it is almost certainly down to training.

The biggest fraud in World Football at the moment. Even the Hull game which is supposedly the best performance of the season there were very few chances created. His philosophy is simple keep the ball at all costs without going anywhere and hope for an error or a moment of magic from one of the front players.

Also the number of injuries can't be just down to bad luck. He mentioned that they play a match in training in which one team simulates the opposition. Neil Warnock talks about this training method in his book. Maybe this would explain the insane number of injuries and the fatigue levels in the second half.

Agree.

The injuries meaning we cant field our best team are absolutely amazing. And he's had a short period in one transfer window to start building his side. We'll buy, get better and start battering teams.

In patches, we've looked really good and have some great players but LvG is trying to look after everyone and sometimes it doesn't work. Ive got no doubt it will get better though and we'll deffo be top 3 this season, pushing onto next.

And he still has a lot of shite to get rid of.

I think it's worth noting that LVG has made the same point himself in interviews, so he clearly sees the problem.

It's just a matter of if he can fix it or not.

Spot on again.

he's had no chance to play his best eleven. There's no consistency of selection.....and there's still holes in the squad when he does.

The three centre halves are decent players but none are good enough and none are comfortable enough to play in this system.....which is only being used out of necessity.

We miss Di Maria, we miss Blind and we need two new centre halves.

We're the third best team in England at the moment. That's progress from last season.

or he'll get the players in who can play this system because he's given assorted divs like evans, jones and young more than enough rope to hang themselves with.

Is it unrealistic to expect more than 5 points out of 18 avaliable from Sunderland, Burnley, Leicester, West Brom, Villa and Stoke away?

And who has decided to play Rooney in midfield, and that #@&%!ed boring 3-5-2 shite?

Who has been beasting the players in training after most of them have played a full season and then a world cup?

So we should sack LVG then and go for Neil Warnock?
