Despite talking up his team before the match, setting second-placed Manchester City as the target to aim for, Rodgers took a more pragmatic view afterwards.

'That was probably as disappointing as we've been here but I couldn't put my finger on it,' he said.

'It is a strange thing football. We were talked up all week about us being top-four material but we know within the group we still have a long way to go.
Yes by you yer fished face @#%&!

Burley does exactly the same thing as Brenton in his comms though, talking as if he was this great player who saw everything and did it all - he was £#%&!ing gash.

Yeah he's spot on about the Liverpool situation but it's not exactly a secret is it, and the vermin I know think Rogers is useless and a creep already.

A 'bigger' problem that needs addressing is the BBC's (and Sky's apparently) love-in with Benitez. Ever since they had him on Football Focus they've been kissing his arse big time, no doubt with designs on making him a regular

When I was at Derby I had John Gregory as manager and he was also full of it. The players weren’t fooled by his chat or the photos of him with Bruce Springsteen he had in his office.
Nice to see Gregory outed as the #@&%! we all knew he was

Its because hardly anyone else would give them (beeb&sky) such unrestricted access like that camera hungry charleton. Part of the Chancers code, its better to talk to fawning journos than knowledgeable folks who'll see right through the shite. See Keegan as a prime exponent :shakehead:
