FC United is chuffed to announce that Guardian journalist and author David Conn is to speak at the club’s pre-match event on Saturday, October 20, before the Reds take on Hereford in the FA Cup.

Conn, who is a friend of the club having written about FC United from the start, will be speaking in Course You Can Malcolm from 1pm-ish, so supporters wishing to listen and ask questions of David need to make sure they are there early. He will also be signing copies of his latest book ’Richer than God’, while waiving his cut of sales so that FC United will get a donation from each copy sold.

CYCM takes place in the bar behind the Manchester Road End at Gigg Lane and during a packed afternoon of events, there will also be a Manchester band on following David’s talk and Q and A.

Malcolms opens from 12pm and offers food and drink for all tastes, including vegetarians and non-acoholics, with all proceeds going to the club. Admission is for members, plus one guest. A full preview of the afternoon will follow later in the week.
