Yep, if we don't get Vidal he could play deep in midfield with Herreroh and Matoh or in defence or wing back. When are we going to announce these signings though? Blind and Cuadrado before Swansea would be top, if we're spending that big money on Cuadrado though no way are we also getting Vidal.

I still think he is a little slow, perhaps one paced might be the better way of putting it, but I am coming around to the idea of his signing. Very comfortable in the 3-5-2 that Van Gaal seems committed to, can play wing back, left CB and in a holding midfield role, all positions that could do with some back up.

Last season one of the major problems with the team was the lack of pace throughout, made Utd vulnerable on the break and lacking penetration going forward. Have to be careful with the balance of the side, especially if the attack will be built around the pedestrian 3 of Mata, Rooney and Van Persie, all wonderful footballers but none of them at this stage are rapid.

Can he play in defence?
