He was fantastic yesterday. Wish he'd do it every week tbh, not just when he's trying to prove a point to old clubs.

Yep, he surprised me Matic. I thought he was off form but clearly it was/is effort. Was great when he first started (new boy so was keen) and then he drifted but can pull his socks up to 'prove a point' to Chelsea.


Tbf to him Jose has played him in almost every single game, he could do with resting him now and then

effort or freshness and the number of bodies around him. he was excellent, whilst also giving the ball away repeatedly (same as everyone on the pitch) and plodding about. played in bursts. think he's been knackered. as you say, needs rest. won't get it.

He's been shite for months.

he can't play midfield on his own, even if he had a month off. sure having mct in gave him a bit more of a platform.
