Says he doesn't want to be a no9, that was never the plan. Interesting...

Doesn’t want to be just a number 9...

Obviously a thank you to Mou for playing him out wide on a regular basis

Ole wants him as a no.9 but, Rashy clearly doesn't see it that way.

Hint of a rebellious dressing room against Ole? Hard to say, considering how close Rashy and Josey were.

Smelled like a father figure

Ronaldo wasn't a No. 9 and bagged record amounts of goals.

In no way saying that Rashford is or will be as good as Ronaldo, even with both legs tied together, but maybe he's realised that he doesn't need to be playing down the middle to bag himself some goals and generally contribute to the team.

Homegrown, local, exciting , supports the club

Those factors might seem like trivial to some but it's difficult to describe the feeling you get watching a local lad get into the first team. Harder still to explain to oot'ers etc.

Wasn't he reputed to have got into a bit of a fracas with Rooney a few years ago for saying he can see himself playing as a no.10?

Helps if you can trap a football first lad, then work out how to play the pass.

With Rashford & Martial (& hopefully Greenwood) it's obvious a fluid front three is what we should be playing. Something akin to the way we used to move the ball & players around with Rooney, Ronaldo & Saha...

Just wait until Neymar arrives... [SIZE="1"]hello?

Anywhere he can score goals probably.

Personally I think someone like him is better coming from the inside from wide, a bit like Mane and Salah at Liverpool. Get James cutting in from the right and Rashford cutting in from the left, and bring someone in to go down the middle to bring it all together. Could be interesting. Probably won't be though.

Yawn.

You don’t have to tell me about the joy of watching local lads play for your team. Remember the two cockneys that won us the treble?

Sorry pal. I’m waiting for you to tell me what about Rashfords footballing ability makes him a “Man Utd type” player. You know rather than a bunch of vague shit about feelings and localities.

I can Understand the novelty given Manchester has produced precisely one world-class footballer since I’ve been watching football.
