Love Scholes love gypers (in that order) but don’t love these ‘can you remember when we used to be good’ co92’s rusty trombones affairs.

Constant reminder of better times : Haciendas classicals, Stone Roses reunion concerts, co92 etc

Be miserable in the present or stfu.

nothing wrong with a bit of wistful reminisciscisising now and again keith, shirley?

completely agree that it's a fine line to tread and easy to wind up vomiting on your own loafers when you've got the likes of hookeh around.

i'll make sure we don't go overboard. come on, dip your toes in, the water's fine...

To be fair to Irwin both he and Neville have admitted that defending, and even attacking, was a lot easier as a full-back when they were coming through. Look after your winger and try to stop him getting crosses in; get forward and try to put a good ball in.

Now full-backs are expected to combine and receive the ball constantly up the field (except in a Mou team) and you're dealing with inverted wingers, more overlapping opposition full-backs, inside forwards, free roles all over the shop etc. £#%&!ing minefield these days.

Evra was so good at helping us build our play during his prime. Everything started down the left due to his quality on the ball.

In the 433, no one. With 2 up top, in place of Rooney.

If it’s purely who he played with, cantona not being in is probably justified. Probably played with him for one good season with cantona at his best. His last season he was terrible and he also had the long suspension. Though can’t rememebr how much he played with Irwin for him to be included.

Looks like he has, all because of Mou.

Mou claims another victim.

Cream is like Gollum now due to Mou...

Really think it wouldn’t do any harm for Evra to come in and do some one to one coaching with Shaw

Little things like the way he used to pretend to play a ball down the line but instead roll his foot over the ball and drive in field
Something simple but it gave forward momentum to the team

Too often Shaw just turns around and goes backward when anyone closes him down

I’m suggesting playing Irwin at right back, it’s cheating obvs but I’d want Den and Evra in my side.

People arguing and debating this as though it’s been stated as concrete fact.

It’s his opinion ffs, but no let’s argue tactics and formations

Absolutely. Quality isn't always about skill, it's also about decision making and confidence to take the ball. Evra wasn't a very good crosser of the ball, but in playing triangles, keeping the ball and bringing it into space as you suggest he was the perfect player in that role.

It's absolutely mental mate. It's like people actually have an interest in football and enjoy discussing it, chewing the fat, arguing positions etc. Very odd behaviour.
