They back to being shit now? Some on here need to make up their minds.
They probably still will beat us tbf.
How many times have we gone there when they've been in bad form and they all of a sudden become the best team in the world?

It happens nearly every season so I'm not going to read too much into it. The league isn't going to be lost there

Not as often as you think. Liverpool have won just four of the last 10 PL games played at Anfield.

Anyway, the key word is "destroyed". That's what was being touted on here after the Scouse played Arsenal

Doesn't matter what the word is mate, the chances are that they'll probably will beat us, regardless of how bad a run they're on.

It has nowt to do with the quality of the teams or the form us or them are in, it appears to be bigger than the CL final or something for them and we always seem to shit ourselves when we go there.

We've gotten incredibly lucky there on occasions. Even under Fergie, with players like Eric, Keane, Hughes, Bruce Pallister etc we'd shit ourselves. The only time we didn't shit ourselves was the time Mata scored that great goal

Having said all that, it's Mourinho. He seems to hate Liverpool more than any club. It'll be interesting to see the difference in mentality

Their giddiness is off the scale when they play Utd. And Utd seem to approach it as if its just against Villa, Everton, etc.

Leaves me seething every time tbh. I £#%&!ing HATE this fixture.

For a team that shits itself every time it goes to Anfield, we've not done too bad.

This reminds me of the fixture from the 2009/10 season. That was in October also. Us going in on good form, them going in not having won a game in a good stretch.

What happens?
We shit ourselves, with Vidic leading the charge and they beat us.

What happens next?
Their bad run continues after the game and we go back to normal

We’ve never gone to Anfield and “@#%&!ted them” in my lifetime.

Even when we were the best team in the country by a mile and they were loitering around 7th we couldn’t manage to give them a decent hiding. They always, ALWAYS turn up against United. We may have scraped a few results there but it’s never been easy.

Which makes some of their wins at Old Trafford in recent years all the more annoying. 4-1 and 3-0 ffs.

The 4-1 wasn't a tonking til late on really, if you want to play the "we never thumped them" card. 3-0 was Moyes, all of Moyes and nothing but Moyes. But when they turned up with Hodgson they played better than most of their visits under Benítez.

Pallister's double was pretty comfortable. They never looked in that one.

That 4-1 certainly flattered them.

3-0 was Moyes.

In recent times:

The 1-0 with Rooney in 2005 (?)
Tevez 1-0 in 2007
Mata double in 2014 were all as comfortable as it gets

That's about it really

Best we played there in last 20 years was the 2-1 under van gaal. and that was half a match vs 10 men.

We seem to wilt there.

Didn't wilt last year either, we probably played better on the whole though it was a poor game. Hung on for the last ten for a good point in the circumstances and you'd have sworn from Klopp's moaning afterwards that we'd had ten behind the ball from kickoff.

We’ve got a decent record there recently
