If they hadn't had tried to play god by finding fault with the goal no-one would have complained or even noticed. Destroying the game and had the commentator telling everyone it was a pen and a red before the ref had even spoken to Romero

this is what happens to var when the game isn't played at a snail's pace with lots of boring possession. It can't cope.

The correct decision was letting the goal stand, even if the player had a toenail offside it didn’t affect the keeper

it's an odd one. if the var brains didn't have the penalty to fall back on, i dont think they'd have called that as offside. surely it was 'subjective' (or was that a one off?) and ref should have been sent to review it?

but i think they thought £#%&! it, we'll just give a pen instead.
