Always thought it was strange that they didn't discuss the whole playing with the reserves before he signed. But of course the obvious answer is that they did, and Valdes agreed to it but after getting his deal and doing a few matches at shithole grounds changed his mind.

If he's been ducking moves all summer to just collect his money, it doesn't surprise if they feel he's got to get frozen out.
