The Return of JC

Default Underrated Premier League players

...and why.

No United players, please.

I'll go first:

Steven Pienaar - skillful, direct, good range of passing, very lively and chips in with goals and assists. Lovely goal at Arsenal earlier in the season. The importance of Arteta to them sometimes overshadows this guy's performances and importance. Their upturn in form coincided with his return. A snip too at around £4m.

Next, please.

milner - not sure if hes underrated as such but a brilliant player who should be at a top 3 club.

palacios - does a superb job protecting his defence, a proper defensive midfielder

etherington - great little winger

Yeah, me too. At the heart of most good things they do. Which admittedly isn't very much.

pienaar is a good shout.

carew. pisses all over heskey, very clever player and a lot.better technically than is generally recognised. massive #@&%! as well.

etherington at stoke. after valencia, probably the best crosser of a ball in the league.

lee cattermole. sunderland are halfcthe team without him.

benitez at birmingham. a real handful, would score plenty in a team which actually attempted to cross the halfway line.

Pienaar is quality, I'm hoping we've been taking a look at him because ever since he's signed he's been nothing short of magnificent for Everton.

Michael Dawson, fantastic defender and been consistently good for Spurs for a couple of seasons now.

Others beat me to Cattermole - no coincidence Sunderland have slumped since his injury.

But maybe also Anton Ferdinand?? Just because he isn't as good as Rio (but then again, not many are)

people may take this piss, but he's got his act together. Mind you he's still not that good, but the stick he gets still is harsh
