Thumbs up John O'Shea

I'm not his biggest fan and I've been critical of him in the past. I still don't think he's a very good player but I have got to say fair play to him for being a part of our defence that hasn't conceded in the league for over 1000 minutes. He still can't pass for shit and he gets beat quite easily on occassions but (takes deep breath) I'm no longer bothered when I see his name in the starting XI

Also, I think he's been quite good going forward

So, to summarise. He's not as bad as some people make him out to be. I think that's pretty fair.

He's done ok and you can;t be total shite to be aprt of this long run. It could have turned out very differently against Wigan though

But when considering the defensive record that has just been set - a lot of people deserve a huge amount of credit VDS and an ever changing back 4 in front of him.

For all the crap we give him JOS slots in anywhere - how many defenders have we used in that run?

At times he improved his play to mediocrity in this run.

Agreed. He's actually looked like a footballer (of sorts) this season and doesn't look over and point at someone else when another player looks like they might give him the ball.

I don't think he has played with any confidence whatsoever since that season.

He looked like a frightened new born giraffe at Derby.

his limitations don't show up against the likes of wigan or west brom, tbh, but against a side which approaches our level evra makes a terrific difference going forward (as against chelsea).

He's very odd.

At times he can look ok, but at times he looks like Mike on manual on 10v10.

Should'nt play unless we're in a injury situation like we are.

Fair play to him, he can fill in pretty much anywhere and with our injures of late we'd have been £#%&!ed without him.

Complete enigma - still plays like a coltish 17 year old. Never moved on from when he looked like a complete and utter star.

For me he is still way too casual in possession and against Derby he had the first touch of a rapist.

Useful utility option in times of crisis and that's it.
