I never got it with Evans. Remember backing him against Pique simply because he was a bit quicker and seemed more suited to the Premier League, but since then I don't think he's ever looked as good as was suggested. Even during that supposed great spell, always lacked the instinct of a great defender, and doesn't have the bottle for United. Was an easy choice as the man to make way this year.

I thought LvG might be the making of him given how he encourages his defenders to play it out from the back but from that awful back pass against MK Dons :shakehead: he had an absolute holocaust of a season
