Won't score more than three league goals next season. Feel free to bookmark this for future reference.

Of course it does.

Hardly a long term signing is it - it's a short injection of quality and experience into a very small squad badly lacking character and winners.

We don't need to go out and buy any strikers for the long term because we already have Rashford and Martial.

I'd go with this.
Never really liked him but jose is ideal for getting the most of someone like zlat.

Absolutely spot on.

Takes a lot of pressure off Rashford while adding top proven quality for one season. In that year Rashford could learn a lot from Zlatan too.

Ideally we'd look at adding a top quality forward who could play from wide right in the near future too.

We need someone to bully the shit teams who have 10 men behind the ball.

Enter Zlatan

He's relatively low risk, as Siders says. He provides some presence up there, some experience, a bit of unpredictability and comes in good form and good condition.

I don't see Rashford's development being stunted by José at all. I think everyone is getting carried away with that one. The kid is clearly a star and the club are already hammering home the youth card before we've even started, so I don't see him just dropping him. José isn't daft.

If anything, brining in an older, short-term striker will help him. I'd be more concerned if we signed someone around 25-30.

Downside is that he might slow the play down and, if he doesn't settle, it's a big ego to just have hanging around. He'll expect to play. He'll expect everything to revolve around him.
it's not about rashford or mensah it's about the path to the 1St team that has been estblished being blocked.

fwiw zlatan is a flat track bully which is exactly what we need. he can also come up with a bit of class in the top games too, but whether Jose can make us good enough to carry him over a season remains to be seen.

No need to bookmark, just offer the forum some odds and we'll have ourselves a little wager.

You in, Dave or are you completely sackless?
