I take your point, but Mcleish got something out of him for scotland, and i suspect he would try and build around him (of a fashion) , given what we got for some of the crap we offloaded in the summer, i think we could justify squeezing a few more quid of them.

In todays market, Fletch is worth £8m. From a business sense, we'd be stupid to accept anything less than £7m. Between Newcastle, Sunderland, Birmingham, Wigan and maybe Fulham, there's plenty of clubs with decent money desperate to sign a player with his experience.

if k rich was £5.5M then we should be looking for at least £7M/£8M for fletch imo!

(no, he's not worth that but if that's the transfer market then £#%&! em!!)

Anything over £1 to get him out of our team/squad/club/nightmares, is a real bargain.
