I don’t think Potter is the worst idea in the world.

United have had delusions of where they are in football for the best part of a decade. We’ve signed washed up, disinterested superstars on huge wages and it’s been an absolute shit show.

In reality we’re a 5th to 10th standard team (imo) and, providing the recruitment and set-up is like it was at Brighton, then I’d be prepared to wager that it will be our quickest route back to challenging again.

The club needs to shake off the delusions of what it is.

We can’t just pretend we’re Brighton mate. We’re not that either.

Potter showed at chelsea that he can't manage egos. He's better at turning up and coming players into great players.

For him to work here we'd have to change quite a lot. I think that's the idea but fear he'd be coming in to early in the process.

Ancelotti is the best choice for the current team but would be a very short term solution.

The problem is that EtH failing has come far too early in the process and we're not really ready to take a new manager. Unfortunately he's left us with no choice.

I can't get away from him failing to manage that dressing room at Chelsea,if that hadn't happened I may well feel differently about his suitability
