They're trying to stop people from applying and selling the tickets on. I think it works ok although the queuing and some of the locations to collect the tickets are a piss take.

On another note, I think the club will phase out independent travel within the next 5 years. They know they can sell Thomas Cook packages at an inflated price. that way, they can keep tabs on everyone that goes.

I'm very critical of the club, and how the piss poor ticket office is run, however, fair play to them with this game, as they've not given any of the allocation to Thomas Cook.

Which of course, is how it should be, with "normal" fans getting the tickets.

I think the system of having to collect tickets is a load of shite.

I don't care that the prev system was being 'abused', tickets always ended up in the right peoples' hands anyway. Having to apply for this game, travel to London and then queue for 2 hours just to pick the £#%&!ing ticket up is a joke.

It's a farce. It's bad enough as it is without United adding another ballache into the matchday experience. We pay a fortune for the privilege of being treated like total @#%&!s. Cant believe so many on here are so accepting of what's happened tbh.

You know what I mean. Just surprised more aren't pissed off with the whole charade. For overseas games I can half see the sense in it, but Glasgow was a joke and next Weds will be even worse.

I know an Exec member who hasn't been to a Euro all season, applied anyway on spec and has got a Chelsea ticket.

The Execs aren't full and they will do anything to ensure renewals next season.

No WUM.

Agree with that. The collection on Wednesday will be a £#%&!ing nightmare. They should just post the £#%&!ers out.

Quite a few execs with previous Euro away applications and collections this season didnt get a ticket for Chelsea.
Seems execs arent guaranteed.

The lack of Thomas Cook club tickets has effectively increased the chances in the ballot for quite a few. Probably would have been 2 previous games this season otherwise, rather than some people getting them on one.

Hmm, not really funny but doesn't quite ring true either.

I'm going to ask my exec ticket holder if you are telling the truth or do I need to queue with the plebs.

Not being up to date with my innoculations, I generally send my man servant - he takes along a crisp "deep sea diver" to ensure there are no "issues" with my passport picture not entirely matching his Phillipino looks.
