We laughed when it was aimed at Redknapp and Souness.
the money thing was a dig at scholes' financial situation.
Quite petty but that's how he is .

Not really. Paul scholes wasn't being a positive critic. It was leading comments leading to a "united in total crisis" situation if we had one more bad result.
Implied paul pogba isn't fit or mourinho doesn't know how to use him. It even set up keown to really lay the boot in.
A United legend shouldnt be criticising United to that extent if he isf being so honest at least put a positive spin on it at the end like Rio would.
When Rio speaks on united he may be slightly critical but he balances it up with something about beliving we will sort things out or even saying "i know those players and they'll be itching to get out there and get things right next game"
Just like the SAF sound bites last week. Trusting mourinho to turn things around and not fuelling the ABU narrative on "united in crisis" and a cracked united badge on the back page.....

Good points.

Sometimes our ex players are downright unhelpful in the media. The opposite of the Ex scousers, Im not saying they should go fully that way, but being a little less negative wouldn't hurt, they'd still be able to get their points across constructively.

we know these players and they'll be itching to pick up their bigger pay cheques.

if exes can't criticise mourinho's selections and tactics, we might as well not have pundits or commentary. just crowd noise. except the boos, obvs. can play music over that, maybe.

mourinho has no £#%&!ing class.

If this had been Jamie Carragher Jose was laying into we would be cheering him on. Both of them need to pull their heads in. We should be discussing how well we played yesterday & not mulling over a tiff between our manager & an ex player who is probably still pissed off he didn’t get the reserves job

Have you seen the clip of Scholes’s comments? He was very constructive.

Struggling to see what’s wrong with him saying that Poggers should be playing further forward by the same position he did for Juventus.

Scholes is a terrible pundit tho - grumpy little shrew . I don't find him interesting to listen to , the rest of them apart from g nev are likewise boring £#%&!ers esp p nev .

Wish the class of 92 would £#%&! off now tbh

hardly. right now, jamie carragher is a better pundit than mourinho is a manager.

how can you discuss how well we played without acknowledging the change in formation, tactics and role of pogba?

maybe our players just played better?

“Mourinho said some bad words about an ex player. I’m sooo upset”

Utter fannies

Only heard Scholes' comments second hand and seem pretty innocuous - not even close to what gets said on here.

And nowhere as bitter as Neville's anti-DDG rants a few years back.

By the way, who are the "kings of rock and roll"?

Of course Scholes is going to criticise, that's what they pay him for! If he came on every week making excuses for United or even praising them when its due, he would be replaced. Its an ABU world in the media.
Wouldn't be surprised if Jose phones Scholesy and said "say something to get Pogba fired up and we'll review that appointment decision for U23 post you were after"!

Yep, which is a big point in his favour even if you don't agree with everything he is saying. And in total contrast to all the hysterical snowflake hacks, of course
