very hard to second guess what Fergie will do these days, particularly in the midfield/forwards.

I think Owen will get a game either tonight, or on Saturday. Also think Fletcher might get a break.

Foster
Brown (definitely needs games)
Rio
Vidic
Evra
Valencia
Carrick
Anderson
Giggs
Owen
Rooney

Agree that it's not the easiest what Fergie is gonna get up to in selection these days. Tbh, the team i've gone for might be a bit risky against what will no doubt be our toughest opponents in Europe. Would like giggs to get a game really but also want Valencia and particularly Nani to get another game after Saturday's rather disappointing performances.

Don't think I'd go into a game against a team with 2 forwards over 6' 2" without Vidic tbh. In fact I know I wouldn't. Jonny Evans is a great talent and as Fergie has been saying his time is coming but tonight is a game designed for Vidic.

it's almost impossible to get the team right these days, but i expect the following players to get a game tonight:

owen
evans
the hardest man in all the town
nanners
ando

the rest will be the usual suspects

Ze Germans play a 4-3-3, with a £#%&!load of goals & pace up top, OverFortyMartins, Dzeko & Grafite are all well capable of running beyond Vidic so I don't expect a high line, which means Scholes should sit in front of the back 4, Rooney's going to get shifted left, Park will inexplicably play right, and Giggs & Fletcher in the middle, emphasis on overloading the left with Giggs & Evra, Rooney trying to tuck in... in reality it will be Rooney hogging the left & Berbs isolated, Vidic will probably score from a corner.

Something like....

------------Foster-----------------

O'Shea-----Rio------Vidic----Evra

-----------Scholes---------------

----Fletcher-------Giggs--------

Park------------------Rooney----

------------Berbs-----------------

& we'll bore our way to a 1-0 win.

If we started 4-4-2, with Valencia & Giggs, Scholes & Fletcher etc I think we'd batter them as their defence is leaky as £#%&!.

Park is out and from what I've read Wolfsburg are likely to switch from a 3 up front to a 2.

No way they'll be daft enough to play 3 up front. They'd never get the ball off us with only 3 in midfield.
