Thumbs up Luis Suarez

Linked with him in the past, his scoring rate has picked up a bit recently

28 in 37 last season.

14 in 9 this season, including 4 today.

I keep an eye out for Ajax's results and watch them whenever they play in Europe - mainly UEFA Cup these days £#%&!ing shame the state of the club at the moment. Well, Dutch club football in general.

He's got a bit more to his game than any of those.

Not really seen him, except for a game in the Amsterdam tournament, in which he didn't stand out. Just filled with skepticism whenever i hear of someone in Holland performing well these days, such is the decline of the league over there.

I've not seen him a great deal myself recently.

I was just looking through an ajax forum at the time of posting this thread.

I wasn't trying to indicate we signed him, it was more of a random observation of his increased goalscoring...

He has looked quite an intelligent footballer on the ocassions I have seen him.

He has carried on scoring as well. 19 goals in 14 games now.

Ruud started off there you know and he wasn't a bad goalscorer.

True but so did that @#%&! who Middlesborough signed, scored about 40 odd a season there didn't he?

I'm sceptical about Dutch goalscorers is all.

Me too but I think more than enough good footballers have come from the Dutch leagues.

btw, this isn't me saying we ought to buy him.

I agree, I'm not saying he's shit, know £#%&! all about him. £35 million seems a touch pricey.

suarez has done very well for his country (9 in 25, including a fair few games as a winger), unlike alves, huntelaar etc.
