Could be the reason why Cav hasn't been extended yet.
Yep city and Liverpool both drew 1-1 against wba last two months

He’s truly amazing is the @#%&! who owns him I can’t cope with.

I'd be amazed if he goes for less than £100m.

Even at that price he'd be a steal....if it wasn't for the inevitable circus that would follow.

Jimmy Greaves signed for the double winners in 1961 and became their greatest ever scorer. The team never competed for the title again while Greaves filled his boots individually.

Ian Wright joined a team who were champions in 2 of the previous 3 seasons. He became their (then) greatest ever scorer but team never competed for the title again until he was replaced by Anelka half way through 97/98/ season and team went on a run to the double. Alan Smith wrote in his book about how he felt intimidated by Wright's demands and personality and his game was badly affected.

Alan Shearer joined a team who had been 12 points clear the previous season and was signed to take his team to the next level. That team had a very flexible attack with goals shared. Became their greatest ever goalscorer but team went backwards whilst he dominated.

Gary Lineker joined the champions and dominated their goalscorers list for the season he was there but the team won nothing. He left for Barcelona and Everton were champios again the following season with the goals shared about.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy joined a team who had won the title 3 times in a row and a Champions League. He was brilliant individually for 5 seasons but the team "only" won one title. Immediately he left the team won 3 titles in a row and the Champions League. Perfectly bookended.

Haaland has joined a team that has regularly finished 2nd in the Bundesliga. He is scoring bagfuls of goals. The team are currently 6th.

Sometimes a team has to be set up specifically to get the best out of an individual and/or sometimes the players just get too reliant subconciously on a particular player. But it can cost the team while the fans worship the individual.

Team over player all day long. Haaland smacks to me of a fantastic individual who would take waay from the team.

I’d take the risk if it meant Martial’s miserable mug was consigned to the bench.

Bit of sour grapes there mate. Haaland takes away from the team he hasn’t even had a full season , is 20 years old , scoring tonnes of goals and you are branding him a player who takes away from the team

Nothing to do with have a shit defence or anything. It’s the strikers fault who scored all the goals why they are 6th

I’d say the moral is that it’s better to have 5 players with 10 goals than 1 with 50. Unless the 1 is Ronaldo.
