Never seen Martial work that hard. The Ole/Bruno effect.

A big win like that and the conversation shifts to Pogba? £#%&! him. he doesn't get a look in now. He backed the wrong, overweight horse.

Can’t see a goalpost taking chunks out of both shins with its smooth, shiny finish tbh.

What a day / night!

OT was rocking and the goal at the end, not seen a goon like that in a long time.

Onward and upwards, couple of away goals on Thursday then onto Spurs who in all honest we should be beating at this moment in time.

Villa take something off Leicester tonight and 3rd could well be on the cards.

That Spurs game will be tough. After a Euro away and, despite our recent good run, only two of the last ten have been premier league away games.

And one of them was decidedly 'meh' against Everton.

Things are on the up, but this team has a history of getting complacent the minute they start to look good.

This week is another really big test.

Yesterday though

You can’t assume it though as it’s just not part of all footballers make up.

Shout out to the forum top boys who stuck by Martial and said when we start coming together as a team and with a more solid midfield, he would begin to benefit. I remember saying if you plonked him into City or Liverpool, he’d be scoring for fun, and some on here laughed at that. Hope they were laughing as hard when he slotted the first away yesterday

Sancho would make us comfortably better than most alone.

Martial is a boss, I get the aggro, but believe in him. Talent > Workrate.

The berts did have some inexplicably shite players though. Since the sheikhs rolled in and Woodward took control of our recruitment I've come to expect they'll have better players than us, but Zinchenko and Cancelo are utter gash.

Mahrez is quality though, that they're not getting his best is a bit of an indictment.

Martial morphed into Mark Hughes at one point in that second half

Could've been the :cans:

They were all really good. Credit where it's due.

Substitutions yesterday were absolutely spot on.

Bailly coming on and Shaw moving to left back totally nullified Mahrez.

Didn't have an out ball and Martial was running out of steam, big Iggy comes on and the out ball sticks to him like glue.

The Scottish Player.

Would possibly have put Iggy on earlier, his hold up play is magnificent

Thought Williams was really good but was replaced at right time.

‘Super’ Pep, football genius, picks Foden out of position and leaves an actual threat in Mahrez on the bench

Martial celebrated the 2nd goal on the bench much more than he's celebrated any of his own on the pitch

So much of City’s best work came because they got that spine done perfectly early on. As that group of Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero have left/dropped off, the support act haven’t quite stepped up to the main stage. Probably only deBryune would have deserved a spot in that group on merit. It’s similar to the troubles we had when our core of world class players came to their end; people like Smalling, Hererra, Valencia etc just weren’t up to it.
