And they did it well. I was surprised to see 3-4 players around Rooney even in the last 10 minutes. Was it negative, spoiling tactics? Yes. But it almost worked and they nearly got a scabby win.

Overall the game wasn't that bad. They're clearly a decent side and can be very good against the top sides. We were dog shit first half, and the better side in the 2nd.
The only concern I would have is pogba in future big games. He was similarly as poor against chelsea. Desperate to show off and it blew up in his face.

Looks in line ? ?

Artistic licence on the red line drawn I feel...
Not even remotely parallel with the line markings

As for that wacky bespectacled @#%&!s comments he should probably not be throwing stones considering Liverpool have played more long balls this season than us and STOKE
Yep, that weird goofy @#%&! needs to know the difference between long ball and a long pass. So we started to negate their press by hitting it over them? Aww £#%&!ing diddums. What were we meant to do, pass it to them like Stones did?! They got a lucky break with the goal and then had 11 behind the ball for the rest of the game, which suited their pressing/break away tactics they were playing. Another few minutes and we'd have got a winner.

“It’s not about the long ball or the short ball, it’s about the right ball.”
Bob Paisley

Seems to me Kloppo is pissing on the memory of bob imho.

I suppose his fancy stuff is/can be what makes him special but yep, he sure needs to strike a balance and think of the teams needs. Mid/late in the game, he's pirouetting around with three men on him whilst there's a spare man, wide right. Lost possession again. Still, think there's plenty to look forward to from him.

Love the way they can shove 11 behind the ball for nearly the entire game and call the other team negative

The Sacred Cow of English football.

Cross for a target men and you're suddenly a long ball team.

It's nonsense. It's the equivalent of Wenger whinging about teams roughing them up.

We play nice stuff. When it doesn't work, we have options to go longer.

Do teams just expect their opponents to play right into their hands?

It's not like we set up from the start to launch it.

A feature of a good side is to mix it up.

Both 99 CL Final goals from set pieces. High ball over the top for Cole v Spurs. Didn't hear anyone complaining then.

In short, £#%&! off Klopp.

Not dissimilar to what we did at Anfield. We went into that game as underdogs and had to have a plan to get out of there alive. They did the same and I don't blame them one bit. It worked for them.....but don't them try and take the high road afterwards.

We went to anfield to contain. They came to us to contain.

He was off, but £#%&! them. We've had so many shit decisions this year, we deserve one or two going our way.

A bit like that Newcastle player three foot in front of Dave but not interfering with play or blocking his view

Carrick can't deal with being closed down. That's why Schweinsteiger would've been a better option as the deep lying midfielder.

That position is the priority to sort out if Jose is going to continue with the 4-3-3 (which he should imo)
