So back to arguing over City or Liverpool for the title then

ffs we’re a couple of wins from being right in it even on this form. Even if we’d just beaten Bournemouth and Brighton at home.

If City don’t do their huge win run it’s not even going to take 80 points.

We'll probably be hoping City don't do back to back trebles come May.

Yet City managed to get £50 million quid for him. A striker who's managed double figures in the league twice in 8 seasons.

If we’d just beaten those two sides instead of getting soundly beaten?
We are miles away sadly. But yes, if you look at the table at certain points in the season it would appear we are closer than we ought to be.
4th place is up for grabs but I suspect we’ll continue to stutter against teams who sit back and defend well.

Of course they are. There's nobody can get near them out of this lot. Liverpool might give them a go to keep them honest but even the scousers aren't all that.

Arsenal look completely out of ideas here.

They need a moment of inspiration from somewhere. They got by on a lot of piss and vinegar last season which is easy to drum up when you're winning and everything's going well. But they've shown that they can sink in moments of adversity too.

I knew it was always a futile gesture. But I honestly thought I could hold onto a bit of a hope for a bit longer….

4 in a row incoming.

Was worth a go.

Thinking moyes is doing a great job shaping this west ham team, but could never bring myself to type it.

That's as good a defensive performance as you'll see from west ham tonight.

Done a right job on them.
