Question Anyone going to the protest outside OT today?

Man Utd face pressure to end 'grotesque' failure to pay Living Wage while Alexis Sanchez earns £600k-a-week

If they have a problem with the wages they can quit.

If they can bang in 20 goals a season they can earn more than £9 p/h as far as I’m concerned

The club should pay the living wage. All companies should.

With that said, most companies don't. So why this is a story when we're talking about a couple of hundred people is beyond me. There are companies employing hundreds of thousands of people at below the living wage. Have a dig at them first.

Sanchez is arguably in the top 10 in his proffession in the world. His skills set is very heavy in demand and very low in supply, his wages reflect that.

A cleaner/cashier etc... has skills for which there is a near endless supply. To compare them is foolish.

They're comparing their respective wages not fox in the box skillz.

They're not asking for 600k per week just £8.75 an hour.

Ironic really that the only people that do not have their snouts in the trough are the ones keeping the actual troughs running

It's the right thing to do.

And even if the club think it isn't their PR staff should be telling them it is.

Not a clue why people are grumbling. The Glazers wouldn't give you the steam off their piss.

£#%&!ing ell you cant compare hourly rate to weekly rate no wonder it looks so far apart!

Sanchez earns 99p per second to Doris's £8.75 per hour. see they don't seem so far apart now.

If the club don’t pay the living wage they’re shithouses.

Sanchez’s wage, however, has £#%&! all to do with it.

Plus we know Doris can't do it on a cold wet night in Stoke.

£600000 pw @ 40 hours = £15,000 per hour

Obviously not much difference from £8.75 per hour which is all they're asking

Whatever the figures it's obscene that they can't shell out an extra £1.25 an hour and just as obscene that #@&%!s like you argue against a living wage for people trying to earn a crust
