They may be, they shouldn't. He has the advantage of being a genuine fullback and having the pace necassary for the position over both of them. He played most of a season for Sunderland last season at fullback too. We should bite the bullet and play him or give up entirely on youth development if we are too scared to play someone with his ability and experience against Villa.

Totally agree.

It remains to be seen whether Fergie thinks the same way. Brown or no Brown, I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if Danny Boy starts.
