- Colombia will qualify with victory over Senegal. If Colombia win Japan will need to lose by fewer goals than Senegal to progress. Colombia can also qualify with a draw if Japan lose, because they have a better goal difference.

This was also mutual. Poland clearly happy to go home with any type of win.

Two teams refusing to play, standing on the ball, so that one of them can qualify for the next round based on the notion of fair play/sportsmaship probably should inspire a rethink from the geniuses at FIFA
