We sold our only centre forward for 75 million and didn't bother replacing him. Rashford is a wide attacker and so is martial.

Just on a sour note, I Don't think City are capable of stopping Liverpool if they meet in Europe. Seem to have gone a little stale, hunger not there and they are so typically Pep in their openness to the counter.

Liverpool will get to 10 CL’s before we get to 4.

Quite probable they take advantage of the rebuilding going on at Barca, Real, Bayern. Timing is everything, our best CL team had to go against possibly the best club side ever, and as irritating as it is Liverpool as a club have never really put the European Cup on the pedestal that Utd have down the years, meaning they are not intimidated by winning it.

I think we are going to have to rely on one of the "big" continental clubs being on their game for that tbh. I mean, Barca couldn't throw away a three goal lead like that *again* - could they??

Let’s put this European myth to bed, Porto and Monaco knocked us out. A team with Veron, Keane, Scholes and Giggs lost to Leverkusen. In 2011 our reserves put four past Schalke in the semi finals. You make your own luck both good and bad, let’s not pretend Liverpool haven’t earned their CL success.

They earned their success with blood sacrifices - 96 of their own and 39 Italians

Ole sounds like he was getting some much needed digs in during the post match. Digging out Marital and Lingard while keeping the positive outlook. Love him.

Also great to see that devil in him that's been mentioned by ex-teammates come out during the game.

What, like when he couldn’t wait to apologise to Lingard for shouting at him? his weakness absolutely killed us tonight. Still playing it around at the back for most of the last fifteen minutes despite it almost killing us for the previous eighty. Not getting Matic off when he should and allowing them to decide who takes that free kick when every single one of us knows Mata should be taking it.

How anyone can watch that and take a positive from it shows where we are. We did nothing and got lucky ith one pot shot from Matic and City’s arrogance let us off completely. Martial is a £#%&!ing disgrace.

You're right. Winning away at City (again). Weak and cowardly.

Also, I was referring the post match press conference where he bemoaned the lack of finishing and creativity in the team. Don't think it's a stretch to assume he was talking about Jesse.

Got to say I’m a bit glass half full on this.

Good to win, especially with the team we have, but it was a game that was over before it started and City still dominated. Ole getting credit for shouting at Lingard? First, about time. Second, why play him? It’s the one position where we actually have options (shit options tbf, but not Lingard level shit).

Wolves will be a better test. Hopefully with Fernandes because I just don’t see where the goals are coming from. Get a win and I’d be a little more optimistic.

Edit: half empty ffs

Wolves nailed on 0-0 unless Martial can be arsed to get out of bed

Good job Santo had posters of Mourinho the negative shithouse as that team should be capable of scoring a few against us
