What was the big man thinking?

Even Powell looks sheepish about it

Mata deserved hooking, he was utterly anonymous from about the 10th minute on. Not sure LvG will lose any sleep over backing one of his younger players. Seem to recall big Nick was instrumental in the goal we got back..

Angry

A forward-thinking, innovative coach giving game time to a young prospect. Disgusting.

Much prefer a negative, grey bastard sticking 11 old farts behind the ball and lumping it to the big man.

And two years later we have just played two vital away league games and Mata didn’t play a single minute in either.

Youth always got a chance under some managers. Love LvG for that.

The Big Man not getting replaced by Mou before bringing Rashford through is an especially important moment for modern United

No point being in denial pal.

Every time Rashford, Martial and Lingard bang for United, it’s an LvG thing

Youngie and Valencia are impressing at the moment in wing back roles he first cultivated them in against much criticism of the system. Chrissy Smalling leading the line in a back theee - who started that? De Gea in net largely because LvG bullied him into a long-term contract.

Meanwhile, the guy who manages us would probably still be interpreting “stick the kettle on pal” had it not been for certain talent spotting from his mentor

Overall it’s easy to see why the LvG haters struggle to let go.

The place still reeks of the Big Man

I just miss LVG's press conferences

Mourinho's are boring as £#%&!. So £#%&!ing miserable

Everyone knows for continued success Mourinho shouldv'e been brought in straight after Fergie
