[quote=Tumescent Throb;3149075]How has he "added value back to" Downing, Henderson and Enrique ffs
They're all half decent players who lost a bit of form playing for a shit mid-table team engulfed in a shit storm led by a racist apologist for a manager who then got sacked. Now they've got used to being a shit mid-table team trying to push for top 6. mixing up his clichés again the thick @#%&!. thats just the kind of meaningless, nonsensical guff he specialises in. I have to work with this particular kind of ego driven bullshitter all the time, piss&wind, piss and £#%&!ing wind, the good thing is that it fools no one for very long and they soon get met with glazed eyes, which is already happening to him. |

Why doesn't he just shut the £#%&! up and get on with the job? You know you don't actually have to give three interviews a day.
He's trying way too hard to be philosophical and appear a deep thinker. He's probably got a list of famous quotes from managerial legends and dreams of being added to that, but missing the point that these were quotes from successful managers over the course of their careers, not six soundbites from last week. |

Mansfield chairman John Radford criticised the player afterwards but Rodgers laughed it off.
"I thought the criticism was ludicrous of him really but I can understand people's reactions because we have seen it many times," he said. "I spoke with the chairman afterwards and he'd obviously had a few drinks in him by that stage! "With a few drinks in them at the end of the game they probably said things they wouldn't normally but the hospitality was great on the day. "We've sent a message to Mansfield wishing them good luck for the rest of the season." |

So which is it, Brendon? Is it "ludicrous", or can you understand it? Are you implying that the guy had to have been drunk, or did he have a point? Do we have eyes, or should be allow you to do our seeing for us? Undisputed emperor of double talk. I wouldn't be so £#%&!ing smug about the good luck message either, 'cos if I were the mansfield chairman I would bide my time until you were tin-tacked, which is inevitable, and send an equally condescending message of condolence. |

"We’re as good as any team in the
league, but we have to turn consistency into results,” said Rodgers. “It’s no coincidence we’ve won seven of our last nine games since the Europa League stopped. We’ve had one game a week. That’s why I said when I came in for us to succeed it’s about building a competitive squad. The squad has to be stronger. “In a one-off game (earlier in the season) we were better than Manchester United, even with ten men. We should have won the Manchester City game. We deserved to lose to Arsenal, but we fought to a draw at Chelsea. “But it’s about consistency and you get that from depth of squad. Over the course of the season you need to judge it, but it doesn’t take away the magnitude of this game. If we’re going to progress we need to go to our rivals and put in good performances and results. It’s a yardstick for us, but it’s not just about the weekend.” Theyve won 5 out of 7 since Europe stopped They beat West Ham, Fulham, QPR, Sunderland and Mansfield |

I wouldn't be surprised if, at the end of the season when they finish 12th he calls the league and tells them they won it.
The problem is when he's giving these ridiculous interviews you need a strong interviewer who'll say "well actually Brendon, you haven't won 7 of 9" or question him as to what "turning consistency into results" actually means. Either they're not knowledgeable enough, or @#%&! that are afraid of a ban. |

the only one i've actually seen do is funnily enough is jeff shreeves who actually has the balls to stick a mic in their face and ask some straight up awkward questions. I hate how this fixture has suddenly become all about Suarez. He doesn't deserve to dominate the headline of the biggest fixture in our game. The game will not pass without some sort of controversy surrounding him, it's just the way he is, the way he plays is all about play acting and antogonising people. |
