I was right then too.

They’ve paid for him and all recent signings with credit/debt. Cash reserves all used up and they’re shipping £2m a week over what they make, increasing debt. Ronaldo leaving was a relief to them.

They have to sell because they can’t afford to run the club anymore. Debt is spiralling.
