Erm no, I’d say United’s shambolic performance at home in the 1-6 had a big part in that.

I’d go further and suggest the hapless loss to Wigan, or the embarrassing capitulation against Everton played a bigger part than anything Joey Barton ever did. This is without mentioning one of the most cowardly ‘performances’ I’ve ever witnessed being played out at the Etihad.

I’d say if anything, Paddy Kenny ‘handed’ them the title, but like Joey, I’m not woke and take accountability for my failures (as few as they have been). Paddy is likeable chap though, 2012 was on United and nobody else.

Fact is that city almost choked on the final day - if Barton hadn't taken about five £#%&!ing minutes to leave the field after a (typically moronic and pointless) red card, there would very likely have not been enough time for a winner and we would now be on 21 titles.

You almost certainly felt like this yourself at the time as well.
