would like to see a youthful pacey side, something like this

---------------hart-------------

walker----jagielka----cahill----baines

------cleverley------wilshere------

lennon-------rooney-------welbeck

--------------walcott-------------

no doubt he'll start with an average age of about 33 instead.

I think we should play the most dull, pointless and unecessary team possible to reflect the fixture.

To be honest I can take or leave England, im not one of these so called 'top reds' who despise them etc etc. I would like the United lads to do well playing for England.

That said, we are coming up to a very important part of the season and the last thing I want is a United player getting injured in a glorified friendly

I suspect that is the reason why Carrick has been removed.

Imagine for one second if it was Holland playing and RVP got injured, it doesn't bare thinking about... I would use Rooney as an example but I would think alot of people on here wouldn't give a £#%&!

Why though? Hard to be enthused by international football, tbh.

That's about as good as it gets for England. If Young was fit I'd play him left wing and probably put Welbs up top. Walcott is obv on form and deserves a go but I'm not sure about him and Rooney as a partnership. Maybe Oxlade-chamberlain on one of the wings

Dunno if I'll even watch it tbh, depends what else is on offer.

£#%&!ing shit and pointless friendly in the midst of a busy time of the season £#%&!ing stupid. I know they have to have them, but now ffs?

And Friendlies, what's the £#%&!ing point? If it's not pre-season or a testimonial there is no use in a friendly. May as well create a mini-league or 6 nations or something instead, give them something to play for.

Did someone mention International Football and England?

International friendlies are the most pointless event in world football. All that I care about is any Utd player in action this midweek comes back injury free or hopefully does not even get on the pitch

I can just about summon up the interest to watch England bore the shit out of me and fail yet again at another World Cup or European Championship Finals.

Not at all. It's for the most part uninteresting, mean-nothing games, world cup excluded. Name five genuinely edge-of-the-seat internationals from the past two years; games that had you chewing your nails and screaming and shouting...

Pah.

Just because some of us believe that club > country, doesn't make us glory hunters.
